Wes and I just got done with another rendition of Southern Social Media.

Amongst our topics:

  • Perry Belcher’s exit from Internet Marketing Training & what we can all learn from it
  • Generating profits from social media instead of just winning the popularity contest
  • Growing a list even if you provide a service
  • Salon tips from researching review sites
  • Social benchmarking study
  • A contest you can enter to win 1 month’s access to Wes’ Social Media Mondays and 5 people can win free access to my upcoming List Samurai program
  • The southern definition of “banner”

FOREWARNING: both of us go cut off right in the middle of the podcast so there is a gap of about 60 seconds.  Don’t be alarmed.

Southern Social Media 11-11-09

This is a shorter rendition of Southern Social Media due to “time constraints” and scheduling conflicts, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t packed with some good info and a few jokes.  :)

Amongst the topics:

  • How 1 company leveraged Twitter to grow their customer base by 840% in a year
  • Why strategy is so important to your social media campaigns (we sound like a broken record on this, but it’s that important!)
  • Social Media Mondays
  • List Samurai update (it’s likely going to have more like 20 videos instead of just 13)
  • Facebook 20.1 tips

Southern Social Media 11-10-09

After a couple of days away, Wes and I are back at it with Southern Social Media today.  Both of us had scheduling conflicts the past few days that kept us from getting on the horn together, and you know how Wes gets territorial if I venture out and do a solo program.  ;)

Amongst today’s topics:

  • 3 Top Reasons Why Social Media is Still a Tough Sell
  • Social Media Consultants . . . how to find one to help you & kick the project off successfully
  • Finding someone within your organization to become your social media “czar”
  • How Do We Manage the Adoption of Social Media?
  • Will Social Media Kill Trade Publications?
  • The future of print & trade publications
  • Southern definitions of “appear” and “attacks”
  • Monitoring tools for social media
  • The likely direction of social media monitoring

If you haven’t already done so, join in the replay of “Why Only 5% of Marketers Make Money With Social Media – How You Can Become One of the Elite” by visiting http://MarketingVirtualSeminar.com and sharing your first name and email address (it’s free!)

  • Creating a quality lead magnet regardless of where you believe you reside within your industry or market
  • The southern definition of “seed”
