I agree with mouse.

A long time ago Infusion discriminated against my company without even trying to understand what I do.

The other day I had to use them to sign up for an affiliate program. Once signed up, I couldn't see anything in my acct. I contacted support.

Their answer was, stop ALL your work, shut down your entire browser, clear your cache. I refused, I was in the middle of working.

Whenever a company tells me to do that, I know their site/application is very poorly coded. It never happens with well coded sites.

I even proved to the guy that it's NOT my browser, as I tried to login via Chrome & it still wouldn't show up.

He told me he couldn't help me.

If that's the type of company you wish to do business with, be my guest, but I don't take kindly to arrogant fools who think they know what they are talking about, but don't. What always amazes me, is the companies that provide these types of services (shopping cart, lists, marketing tools, etc.) are the worst code wise & GUI wise, yet they have all these executive types that think they are all that : )

There are unfortunately many companies online that are run by very immature insecure people. When you put them in a position of power (even a free forum where they can delete your posts without notice, lock you out for no reason & with no warning), it becomes real easy for the Internet to become the wild wild west.

As things progress online, unfortunately it will become worse.

But let me talk about your actual post....

I had the SAME question about a month + ago because I wanted to contact a whole bunch of specific people on Craigs List who could benefit from my business kits.

Since many or most check off that "I don't wish to be contacted about commercial business", I couldn't do it since it would take too long to do it manually, we'd have to use a piece of software that would just send out the e-mail to them all.

I went onto one of the forums I frequent to ask if they felt this was spam since these people are in my industry & I'm here to help them. They said it didn't matter, it's spam!

And I had the SAME argument you did LOL, but they beat me into submission which is hard to do, but I wasn't going to chance it : )

Granted most of them aren't entrepreneurs, they are techies/geeks who own a domain name, are self employed, etc. & I don't lump those types online with business owners/entrepreneurs.

Let us know what happens & if you e-mail Can Spam, I'm curious about their response.

Getting listed with Google maps, you require to fill an application. Fill up the details and after the verification step, your company will show up in the map.
