He was a collegue of my father’s and contributed greatly to the success of pioneering consultancy Calle & Company. The people who know marketing DO know RR, and know that his contributions to the know commoditized world of marketing, sales, advertising and business development are every bit as powerful as David Ogilvy, Bill Bernbach and Leo Burnett. He once told me the reason he did not want to open an agency was because although he liked the work, the overhead was too high. That’s why they pay me so much!
