I’m in the process of working out an outline for an Internet Marketing Teleseminar Series that I’d appreciate getting some feedback. Included with this particular entry today is a 3 minute podcast that goes over the program. If you don’t have three minutes to listen in on the podcast, here’s an overview of some of the topics we’re kicking around:
- Article writing / content generation
- PPC advertising
- Affiliate programs
- Blogging / Podcasting
- Search Engine Optimization
- Social Media Optimization
- E-mail marketing
- Direct / personalized marketing
- List building
- Live event marketing
- Co-registration techniques
- Researching and segmenting your market
If you can, listen in on the podcast as it goes into a little more. It’s quicker to speak than to type. 😉
I’d really appreciate your feedback and input on this – is it a good idea? What would you pay for something like this? Have any guests you’d recommend to include in the mix? Let me hear from you.
Hi Roger, saw your tweet about this post.
It looks like a very comprehensive webinar course you have planned. I do think it has legs. I would prefer to see it offered as a pay as you go course. For example I want to the podcasting webinar so I can pay for just that. Maybe offer a discount if someone signs up for the whole thing. But pay as you go makes it affordable for folks.
Alan,
I appreciate the quick feedback. Your tip is a very good one.
Initially, I was planning to offer each live teleseminar call for free to those that could get in for the original yet have a pay per listen for those that couldn’t make the live call. Would that be appealing to you?
Roger
Why would you reward those whose schedules permit them to attend, but charge those who are busy? Is there any advantage to being on the call live?
Also, I think you were talking about a teleseminar, while Alan referred to a webinar. Which were you planning to offer? It’s a VERY important difference. I would strongly recommend webinars, since marketing is such a visual subject.
Jeanette
Jeanette,
Rewarding those that attend live fee free is an incentive to show up on the call when it is live. By making it free for all, no matter when they arrive, there’s no incentive to show up at all, right? Yes, we’re all busy, but that’s more incentive to make time for the free teleseminar. It’s either that or charge for the entire program somehow. I’d prefer to make it easier to sample the content for those that are motivated vs. discouraging those on the fringe from attending at all.
I’d prefer to offer a webinar, but a teleseminar will allow more attendees (most service providers make it easier to host a teleseminar vs. webinar) so that’s where that came from. After the teleseminar, I envision creating videos and slides that would make subsequent content much more visual (home study course perhaps?) Believe it or not, there is a long term plan behind all of this. 😉
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Roger
Jeanette,
I thought of another benefit to being on the live call . . . live Q&A sessions. If there’s a pressing question someone may have, getting on the live call will permit them to ask that although we already have a special website (http://AskRogerBauer.com) launched to submit questions ahead of the live teleseminar/webinar. That way the content is relevant to what people are looking to learn or address with their own business.
