A recent project by CoachDeb and Warren Whitlock on Twitter opened my eyes to Twemes, and I thought it might be a good video topic. Below is a short video that shows how to create a thematic conversation thread on Twitter which can help you gather quality information and expand your Twitter universe in the process. After you’ve watched the video, please share your comments below.
Adam DesAutels also video blogged about the TwitterHandbook.com live chapter creation experiment. You may wish to check out Adam’s video, too.
Just wanted to add to make sure we’re giving credit where credit is due – that this was a project by @WarrenWhitlock and myself. We thought of how we’d write the book on twitter ON Twitter using the various apps provided.
Twemes won out as far as grabbing the most current tweets, allowing for a very lively LIVE discussion on the various uses for Twitter. An exciting time had by all – or so says the Twitterverse.
Adam Des Autels has also become an honorary member of the TWitter Handbook blog team, as he did a great job replying to all the tweets that included the hashtag in it for the Twitter Handbook on the Twemes site.
So much attention. I’m blushing.
I usually work behind the scenes. @coachdeb is pushing me into the limelight.
But Twitter is the real star of the Twitter Handbook
Warren,
You are too modest. Your work with Deb has been fun to watch and document. Keep up the good work (both of you)!
I agree with your assessment of Twitter–I seem to learn something new about and from it every day.
Roger
Great lesson thanks for the video! I was wondering just the other day “what is a hash tag?”!!!
Cheryl
Cheryl,
Happy to help, and thanks for stopping in. Come back often! 🙂

Great job creating this video Roger. I luv all the little post-it tips that appeared when you were teaching something about how to use #hashtags and the Twemes.com site. Brava 4 a job well done!
BTW: do NOT follow that HACK of an imposter site “@TweetHandbook” – that is just a BOT that was repeating everything I said at the end of our #book Twitcast last Friday – that’s why Twemes now has 3 pages of that stupid, stuttering, unoriginal BOT. oi! I wish there was a way for BOTS to be reported as ABUSE of the TOS (Terms of Service) on TWitter.
AT any rate – in the meantime, do NOT follow that stupid yellow bird @TweetHandbook – and in fact – BLOCK it so it won’t repeat you if you use the #book hashtag
We are now going to create a NEW hashtag the next time we do a TwitCast for the Twitter Handbook & we’ll announce it to our followers just before we begin the TwitCast so the bot will be hard pressed to catch up.
It was SO great seeing the Twitterverse participate in this 1st ever TwitCast as they all helped Warren & I write the Twitter HAndbook.
Now we can all just say NO to procrastination now that Twitter has arrived on the scene! LOL

Great job, Roger! Thanks for the wonderful video of twemes!
And, congratulations to @CoachDeb and @WarrenWhitlock for your first successful TwitCast! What a great idea to use the very tool to assist you in writing the handbook 🙂
Once again, many thanks for taking the time to create such a thorough overview of the site and do keep us posted on your future activities! Also, if any of you have further ideas or suggestions for twemes, we’re always open to hearing them!
Cheers,
